Suzan
Office Manager & Financial Coordinator
I have worked in the dental field since 1981, during high school as a sterilization assistant. In 1985, I transitioned into a dental assistant role for Dr. Randall W. Smith. Over time, I was cross-trained in all aspects of front office operations. In 2005, I assumed the role of office manager and received extensive training in Eaglesoft software. I hold certifications in both CPR and dental radiology, the latter of which I obtained through Boston University.
What matters most to me personally is providing compassion and patience when discussing my patients’ treatment plans and insurance benefits. I bring decades of experience in managing dental insurance, not only navigating claims and coverage but also advocating on behalf of my patients. I stay up to date with the ever-changing policies and procedures in dental insurance to ensure I can help patients make informed, confident decisions about their care.
Favorite parts of my job: Working with my coworkers and seeing our patients every day, they have become like family to me! I also enjoy advocating for my patients and succeeding when insurance companies deny treatment.
Fun facts: I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband, working out at the gym (I used to be a bodybuilder), and I’m a huge cat person! I help foster and rescue stray cats in the area, and some have even ended up becoming a part of our family!
